How to measure your wrist for a watch. To determine the length of your watch band follow these 4 steps. The thickness of your watch case does play a role in the overall. Bring the ends of the tape closer and read the difference between the numbers on the tape.

Mark where the two ends meet then lay the thread out flat on a ruler and measure the distance. Finally, wrap the measurement tape around your wrist and voila! Read the size on the measuring tape, preferably in inches or centimeters.

Take into consideration how tight you want your watch to be. Measure up past your wrist bone if you like your watch to have a snug fit. To measure your wrist for watch straps, use the measuring tape as described earlier.

Adjust accordingly to make sure it is wrapped around your wrist loosely/tight enough for your personal comfort. This is the measurement of the face of your watch. Line up the arrows on the case with a number. If you are using a fabric tape measure, read the measurement as exact as possible and skip to step number 7. The place the string flat on a ruler and measure the length.

To measure the size of your wrist for a bracelet or watch, wrap flexible measuring tape around your wrist in the exact area where you want the item to go. This is usually more on your arm and a little below the wrist bone. However, if you’re looking for our advice, it would be to put it just below the wrist bone.

This is your comfortable wrist measurement. Hold your watch face on its side and measure from one spring pinhole to the other. Make sure that tool size does not slide away check the number that the arrow will be pointing.

On a simple watch with just a single crown at 3 o’clock (like most watches), it’s easiest to measure the case from 2 o’clock to 8 o’clock. Put the end of the tape right in the middle of your wrist. Between 6 and 7 inches (15 to 17 cm), pick a 38 to 42 millimeter diameter.

You’ve measured the circumference of your wrist. Don't pull it too tight. Measure the long end of the strap from the spring pinhole to the second or third hole on the watch band.
